Alexey Baykov is an International Registered Yoga Teacher cert. with the Yoga Alliance E-RYT200/RYT500.
He has been teaching various styles of Yoga in English and in Russian for more than 5 years. Alexey’s diverse
background includes 25 years of martial arts and 10 years of practicing various paths of Yoga.
Alexey Baykov studies Jungian psychotherapy, which he successfully applies in group and
individual yoga classes, seminars and retreats, especially in Yoga Nidra, when deep meditation happens on its own with the guidance of an experienced teacher. Alexey Baykov is certified to teach Hatha Yoga for different training levels (from beginner to advanced); Yoga Therapy classes for people with injuries of varying severity; Pranayama and Meditation for adepts; Workshops and Retreats on philosophy & the practice of Yoga.
Since 2009 Alexey has been practicing Yoga Shaktipat (or Authentic Movement), when asana and meditation are merged in one dynamic/static flow, which creates a special state of body-mind-spirit, thus sequencing of yoga techniques happen spontaneously, guided by intuition (Consciousness/Spirit).
This (if one may call it) style of yoga can be practiced after shaktipat or after practicing of 8 fold yoga path for an appropriate period of time to get full understanding of the ground basis of yoga outlined by Patanjali: Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi.
